Welcome to the After Party Page!

(I won’t lie. It’s not as fun as an actual after party.)

YOU DID IT!! You got married! Congrats again.

Below you’ll find a few useful links to some info that might come in handy - changing names, how to request a registered marriage certificate, things like that.

You’ll ALSO find one last (I promise), short questionnaire below, that will provide me with feedback so that I can keep improving as a celebrant.

Google Reviews & Facebook Recommendations

I would be incredibly grateful if you could leave me a Google Review by clicking here and a Facebook recommendation by clicking here

(just copy and paste the same review to both!). Below are instructions for how to recommend a business on Facebook:

  1. Go to the Page of the business you want to recommend by clicking its name in your News Feed or searching for it.

  2. Click Reviews.

  3. Click Yes to recommend the Page or No to not recommend it.

  4. Write a Recommendation. You can also select any of the tags below (example: friendly staff, slow service) to recommend or not recommend a specific feature of the business.

  5. Click next to Sharing to to select your audience.

  6. Click Post.

Photos

I’d loooove to see photos from the wedding! If you have any that you’re happy to share with me, and for me to share to socials, feel free to send me a link to your album. Otherwise, I’ve made it super simple for you to share a select few. Just head to this link here to upload them to a private Google Drive folder.

How to Get Your Registered, or Legal, Marriage Certificate

But wait (you might be thinking)… didn’t you give us our marriage certificate at the wedding?! Ok, so the copy that I presented to you on the day is a Commonwealth marriage certificate that is referred to as the “party certificate” - this is a memento only, and sadly not recognised as an official marriage certificate. Many organisations won’t accept it as official proof of marriage. You don’t actually need to have a legal copy of your marriage certificate, but some people do want it.

After your marriage, I registered your marriage details with Births, Deaths and Marriages Victoria. Once this has been processed, you will be able to request a copy of this, your “legal” or registered marriage certificate. You can request this certificate by clicking here. It will cost you a one off payment of $62.30 ($52.30 for the certificate and $10 postage).

Legally Changing Your Name

For all of this info, I’m going to send you straight to this page on the Births, Deaths and Marriages website rather than regurgitating it here.

Relationship Education & Counselling

Click here to head to the Relationship Education and Counselling page on my website, where you’ll find some info of some excellent facilities around Victoria that can offer support and guidance for relationships or families. Or, click here to head straight to the Family Relationships Online website.

Feedback Questionnaire

Below you’ll find a short n sweet questionnaire that will provide me with feedback so that I can continue to improve as a celebrant. If you CBF filling it in but do have a few nice words for my services, feel free to just put your names and then skip down to the final box and leave a sentence or two (your testimonials greatly help me with advertising and booking future work!). Thanks in advance!
